Family-filled Weekend

I had a super weekend, it went by way way too fast...per usual. Friday night we spent with some friends at a local German restaurant along with two of their kids. We enjoyed some tasty German food paired with an authentic Oktoberfest. It was a great way to start off the weekend.
Saturday, Rey and I were woken up at 4:30 a.m. by "Landon's alarm clock".  He has been so so good about sleeping through the night that I really can't complain about the occasional early morning wake up..even if it is on a Saturday. Once I was up I unfortunately couldn't go back to sleep so we we hit the ground running. It was a torrential downpour here in Orlando (which continued all day long)  but, we didn't let that slow us down. We made our  usual stop at Starbucks followed by breakfast at our favorite spot in Winter Park, which was then accompanied by a little Baby Gap shopping. :) Next on the agenda, we went to Rey's uncles house to visit their newborn baby, Luke. He is so so adorable, when I see a newborn now it reminds me how teeny tiny Landon was..only 4 short months ago. It really is crazy how fast they grow. We had a great time visiting with Rey's family and eating some delish Cuban food.  We then stopped by Rey's grandmas house to see his Grandma, Aunt and Cousin. We had a great time seeing them, they absolutely adore Landon. :) Next up was a  quick stop to see my parents and catch the end of the Gator game. We ended the day one of favorite ways, reading to Landon. Saturday nights story of choice was 'Peter Pan'. I love snuggling up with him on the bed right after he has his bath and reading to him, by far my favorite way to end the day.
Sunday,  one of my oldest friends, Ali (we have been friends for over 22 years now!) was in town visiting from Miami and came over to see Landon. It was great to be able to see her and catch up for a little bit. Super sad we didn't get any pictures together...next time for sure! This week is going to fly by, we are leaving Wednesday evening for North Carolina to visit my Grandfather, it will be the first time he meets Landon. I'm super excited about it and can't wait for some Fall weather. Hopefully (fingers crossed) the 9 hour car ride up there with a 4 month old that has decided in the past month that he hates his car seat, goes smoothly! Have a fabulous week!
