After recently having a baby I've had a few people ask me how I have the energy to keep up with my hair.  I actually have two secrets that save so much time when it comes to my hair color.  Today I thought I would share some of my tips with you guys since I know a lot of you are moms on the go.

In between visits to my hairstylist, I usually use some kind of at home color treatment to keep my color fresh.  At home color kits can still take forever to use though and aren't usually the best for your hair. Sometimes  I just want a subtle lift versus a huge change that my stylist might have to correct.  I found the brand new John Frieda Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ line at Walmart and purchased the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Shampoo and Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Conditioner as well as the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ In-Shower Treatment. I was excited to head home and try out these new products!

I started first by using the brand new Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ In-Shower Treatment. . This product is not available in all Walmart locations but you can definitely get it delivered to the comfort of your home by clicking here for your own hair color experience.

This product instantly lightens for a sun-kissed brunette along with lightening up to 1 shade instantly! A big plus is it will only lighten your natural spectrum, so hair won't appear bleached or orange along with being safe for natural, highlighted, and color-treated brunettes.

The treatment was super easy all you have to do is wet your hair and apply the entire contents to your hair. You can concentrate on your hair regrows or cover your hair entirely. I just mainly concentrated on my roots. Let sit on your hair for 5 minutes and rinse! I shaved and washed the rest of my body while it sat on my hair to save some time. 

Next up was the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Shampoo.
This product will gradually brighten for natural-looking sun-kissed brunette and illuminates glowing tones.

I gently massaged the shampoo into wet hair, got a good lather going and rinsed. I love when a shampoo gets a really good lather and this one did not disappoint. Along with the great smell of cocoa and evening primose oil. I was an immediate fan. 

For the final step I then applied the Brilliant Brunette® Visibly Brighter™ Subtle Lightening Conditioner. This conditioner will visibly boost the brightness of your brunette daily. I applied to wet hair from root to end let sit for about a minute then rinsed. I could right away tell my hair was softer. I normally have an issue with tangles and could already tell my brush was going to go through with ease. 

I will definitely continue to use this line of products in between my hair appointments. Not only did they give my hair that boost of lightness that I crave during the summer, it left my hair silky smooth and smelled great!
