ok. target has this dress on clearance right now. $12 bucks. yes, really, $12 and some coins. now, don't take this the wrong way. but, i usually don't even look at clearance racks. not because i think i'm better than them. they just give me anxiety. just looking at them gives me the willies. all that disarray. nothing orderly. just a big mish mosh of randomness. but, on this lovely tuesday it was like the clearance rack patrol had come around and neatly ordered all of the racks and strategically placed this dress in my viewing area. maybe my idea of clearance racks has now been changed. until i go into forever 21, you know they never have a clearance rack patrol.

a {tv interlude} of sorts

i have been a neglectful blogger as of the past week. that's what happens when new girl and how i met your mother come back on. i lock myself indoors and watch tv all evening wrapped in my snuggie. i'll be back to regularly scheduled programming in the next few days. first. i gotta catch up on mike and molly. oh. and real housewives of new jersey. it's a busy life up in here.

stinkin' cars!

rey and i stumbled upon this gem of a location the other day when we were on one of our aimless saturday drives around town. some days we hop in the car and drive. rey mainly "created" this activity so he can scope out #morninautos for instagram. landon is there too. but he's all like, "leave me alone! i don't wanna see no stinkin cars. i'm watching chuggington!" so we just continue on our merry way. wanna know a small secret about this place? it's actually behind a shopping center. a shopping center with some sort of asian restaurant where the employees sit in the back on crates, smoking cigarettes, looking shady and staring at me while i take my photos. i wanted to be like "what? no one has ever stopped behind your establishment to have their photo taking? carry on with your cigarette smoking." but i didn't. also, remind me to never eat there.

over the weekend rey and i gave our fall photo shoot set-up a test drive. we drove out to a gorgeous location here in central florida. left landon in the car watching mickey mouse clubhouse, or maybe it was doc mcstuffins? because that's what all good parents do. don't worry. before you go all DCF on me, the car was right next to us. i mean, it was within walking distance if we heard any sort of screams or weird sounds. anyways. as soon as we got everything set up exactly how we wanted it. after grueling minutes of deciding exactly where to place those bunting flags the rain chose to come at that exact minute. downpour. back to the car we went. well, back to the car i went. rey stayed outside getting rained on while he frantically grabbed all of our meticulously placed props to throw back into the car. luckily the rain passed. and i was left with frizzy hair. but i think i read somewhere that's in. and landon running around screaming like he had been set on fire, because that's what he does now when he sees a camera anywhere in his sight.

fidgety hands

i have roughly 1238743 photos of myself awkwardly fidgeting with my hair (see below for reference). most of the time i don't even notice i'm doing it until rey points it out. maybe, if i didn't have so much of it i wouldn't play around with. probably not. i would more than likely find a way to continuously flip it from front to back, to back to front and sometimes sideways even if it were a pixie.

a few weekends ago we attended the wedding of one of my oldest friends of 23 years and counting. i know what you are thinking, yes i am old enough to have a friend for 23 years. the wedding gorgeous and i could not be happier for her. landon loved the wedding. anywhere he can run around and show of,f he is ready to put his game face on. i also never knew he had such awesome dance moves. it's a combination of a slow bob with a sway, accompanied with being totally out of rhythm makes for some sweet moves. happy friday. and if a baby in suspenders doesn't make you smile then i really don't know what would. 

rumours

yes, the rumours are true. i was named after the fleetwood mac song "rhiannon". i know you were wondering. now that we got that out of the way...i've always loved my named, it was different than all the other kids in my class. it set me apart from the others i always felt. in elementary school when the teacher was calling the roll "jessica, jennifer, amanda, sarah, rheee...??" at an early age i learned that was my cue to chime in "my name is rhiannon, ree-ann-in." they would continue to butcher it for the next week or so then finally, probably, get it right. i had a keyboarding teacher in high school that called me "ree-a-non" the entire year. after three weeks of trying to explain to him how to pronounce my name, i just went with it and adopted my new name as "ree-a-non".

ok. so i love these pants. don't get me wrong. i really do. however. ahem. they are quite a challenge to put on. they are awkwardly tight on my knees. i don't think my knees are on the abnormally large size but, i'm talking, i had to do a slight dip into my car to even sit down when i first put these darlings on. as the day progressed they eventually loosened up but those initial minutes were a doozy. i once heard a celebrity say "fashion is pain" don't ask me which one but i am almost fairly certain someone has said that.

{fall} it's a state of mind

summer is slowly starting to come to a close. gone are the days of unbearable heat and blasting the car ac on level 5. which in my car is the max level. yours might be 4 or maybe even 6. anyways. you get the idea. ahead are the days of pumpkin beers, chili and bonfires. i absolutely adore this time of year. i say, go grab your lightest of lightweight scarves and throw on some booties!  even if the thermostat says 98* in can still be 70* in my mind.  no one  has to know you are secretly melting. it can be our little secret.

also. i have been pinning my bangs back as of late. it's kinda scary, yet liberating to show that much forehead after keeping it covered for the past 3 or so years. you can rest easy now knowing the truth behind the bang.

do you ever sneak into random fields marked with "do not enter" in order to take photos for your blog? yeah. me neither. except for yesterday. i had it it all planned out in my head. if someone asked me to leave i would just start speaking spanish and act like i didn't understand. and then i remembered i live in florida and they probably would know spanish. oh. and the fact that i don't speak spanish. good thing i didn't get caught.
