Sometimes life throws you a curveball...
This week has been a tough week for the Lorenzo household. It you had told me a month ago what I'm about to tell you was going to happen to us I would of never believed you. About three weeks ago Landon kept breaking out in hives, the doctors kept telling me it was the mango baby food I had introduced him to. But after three weeks of hives I was not convinced the spoonful of mango I had given him was giving him weeks worth of hives. I was convinced he had suddenly developed a milk allergy so Rey and I decided to switch him to soy formula. Within a few days his hives were beginning to clear when he suddenly became very congested along with wheezing. Rey and I both decided to take him into the pediatrician when the wheezing began. Our pediatrician informed us he could have one of three things: asthma, bronchitis, or allergies. Therefore, in order to help his breathing we were given a nebulizer to take home and administer breathing treatments every 4 hours. Thankfully with each day my smiley talkative little boy is starting to come around. I am remaining positive and have faith we will find an answer as to what is causing all of this and will be able to put this all behind us. :)
I am so sad to hear that your little man isn't feeling like himself. Hopefully you will get the answer you are hoping for soon, your family is in my thoughts.

Awe! Poor baby! I hope he gets better soon!
ReplyDeleteOh my...that is never fun. Poor little guy. You can take this for whatever it's worth....but with my four children, I have always been told that babies don't yet have allergies like adults do....only to pet dander, food, or dust. I sure hope y'all can find out quickly what it is. Good luck!

ReplyDeleteoh man, at least he takes the nebulizer ok! we've had to use one with parker a few times for bronchitis & now again with croup. as soon as that thing is turned on he goes running & it's like trying to pin down a squirmy calf for him to get any of the steam!
