Thankfulness

Tomorrow will be our first Thanksgiving with Landon. I am so incredibly thankful to have Rey and Landon in my life. I don't know what I would do without either of them. Rey is the best husband I could ever ask for. He gets me. He is the best father I could of ever hoped for to Landon. He does diapers, feeding, changing, burping...you name it. He does it. His heart is filled with so much love for me and for Landon. Sure, this parenting thing can be hard at times but, I'm beyond grateful to be doing it with the best partner for me.  He will decorate the outside of our house the second week of November and not think I'm a crazy person for wanting to decorate the second week of November. Without one single complaint. (that I can hear at least) He will drive me around town searching for that nail polish shade "I saw in the one magazine that I showed you that one time". He usually nods and with a slight sigh we are out the door. ;) He is my perfect match. Of course we have our disagreements, but who doesn't? At the end of the day he gets it and we are in this for the long haul.

I'm sure you all know by now how in love I am with my little Landon. He is the most perfect baby I could ask for. All throughout my pregnancy I would wonder what he would look like, would he have my eyes, would he have hair, would he have Rey's lips and my horrible vision. Then he arrived and surpassed all of my expectations. He has my eyes, Rey's lips, he had hair that fell out and left him looking like Donald Trump. He is the perfect combination of myself and Rey. Sure he has his moments where he is screaming his head off like a wild hyena and it makes you wonder "Where did this child came from?"  But I wouldn't change a thing. He is developing the best personality. You can see in his eyes that he truly loves me and his dad from the smile he gives us each time we walk in the room. I wouldn't trade my closet full of spit up shirts and flats for the world. He has my heart and will have it forever.  I could not be more thankful for my baby boy and the joy he has filled me with these short 5 months.

I am truly thankful I have been blessed with these two people in my life. They both complete me and make me a better person without even knowing.

I hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving spent with your family and love ones. Mine will consist of family, lots of yummy food, watching Christmas Vacation (seriously, who doesnt' love that movie?! I can quote the entire thing for you if you wish) and of course some Black Friday shopping to follow.

Happy Thanksgiving!
