it just so happened i was wearing this outfit when the pantone color of the year for 2015 was announced. marsala. i never knew that was even a color until last week. the fatty in me hears marsala and thinks about the never ending pasta bowl at olive garden.

this post is a little late to the game. i have been a little late to the game as of late. i wonder how many times i can use the word "late"? between chasing a three-year-old, the festivities that come along with the holiday season and just generally being lazy when it comes to sitting down in front of my computer i have let this little old blog of mine slide to the back burner. i hope as the new year approaches to get back in the swing of things. i also said that about playing tennis and that was twenty years ago. happy december!

another thanksgiving has come and gone. leaving the extra five pounds i gained in it's path. we also survived black friday without getting a black eye from trying to pry a pair of $2 pajamas out of someones hands or loosing toes from being trampled in the tv aisle. i call that a success. now bring on the most wonderful time of the year.

As the holidays approach I begin compiling wish lists on certain websites. Ahem. Free People. It really has nothing to do with me. I'm just trying to alleviate stress from those whom might be in the market of purchasing me a gift. I'm considerate like that. I also always search the items priced lowest to high and I made a list for Landon. Once again, so dang considerate.

the past two weekends we have spent taking family photos at a local christmas tree farm. i'm happy to report i left with only fourteen ant bites and eleven mosquito bites. i call that a win. all those christmas trees got me in the spirit to decorate. nothing says happy thanksgiving quite like sitting next to a fully decorated christmas tree.
