i can be super awkward when taking photos. especially when it comes to my hands. i clinch my fists. make weird movements with my mouth. then my ADD kicks in and i start staring at an ant. is that an ant? it kinda looks like a cricket. wait. i don't think crickets and ants even resemble one another. then i hear a faint sound "rhi, hello. what are you doing? what are you looking at?" oh yeah. we were taking photos. sorry.

how is it already wednesday? time flies when you spend your time fixing trains. chasing lizards out of the house and trying to find a way back into the house after my two-year-old locked myself and rey out. thankfully after about thirty ok, five minutes. it felt like thirty. he let us back in. "landon, turn the lock. please unlock the door. no, don't re lock the door. just turn it the other way. yes! just like that. no! don't run away! please come back!"

as soon as rey and i stepped out of the car to take these photos a wind storm of pollen, leaves, hypodermic needles and an empty cheetos bag blew across our faces. i look back to our car and see landon sitting in his car seat laughing at us. i often wonder what he thinks when rey takes photos of me. i imagine him going to school and asking his friends "does your mom go to a vacant field and have your dad take photos of her?" i'm sure his friends will look at him like he's crazy and wonder what kind of weird stuff rey and i are into.

it's really monday already. i feel about how i look in this first photo. 

but, on to more important matters. when i first put this skirt on i was like ninety-two percent sure it wasn't see through. the other eight percent of me that was doubting is what concerned me. these decisions are especially hard when the only person you have to ask is a two-year old whose main concern is where he left is mcqueen. after searching for said mcqueen i ended up leaving the house in this skirt kinda forgetting about the whole see through factor. i figured if it were sheer enough someone would approach me out of the kindness of their heart to inform me my clothing was in fact showing my undergarments. that never happened so i'm going to go with verdict. non see through.

the pocket on these shorts has an outline of either a alligator skin wallet or a pack of marlboro reds. i like to imagine a 67 year old biker previously owned these levi's and used the back pocket for storing such items. one can dream.  in reality urban outfitters probably sanded the pocket ring on my shorts.

finally i can wake up today and say it's friday and it actually be a true statement. i woke up wednesday thinking it was friday then did the same on thursday. talk about a terrible feeling. then to do it two days in a row makes it doubly worse. i plan to spend my weekend in the sun with a fancy beverage or two. oh, who am i kidding? i'll probably spend it indoors drinking canned beer. holler if you here me.
