 lately whenever landon sees a photo of me or i put a dress on his initial reaction is to burst out with "cincess!!!" then he rubs a handful of doritos, cheese-its and oatmeal cream pie all over me, slips and falls in a pool of the dogs urine that i'm fairly certain i cleaned up an hour prior. and with that i'm quickly brought back to the reality of not quite being a princess. but, at least i am for a fleeting second in my toddlers eyes. and i'll take that any day.

i love layers. mainly because you can {for the most part} just pile stuff on and it will usually, for the most part, kinda, sorta work out. good thing the homeless,slightly put together but maybe not look is still on trend.

i'm not the type of person that enjoys many activities of the outdoor nature. rey and i will go for a lovely stroll around our neighborhood and i'll usually complain. "rey, it's hot. rey, a mosquito just bit my chin." "what? who gets bit on the chin by a mosquito?" "me, i need to return home and apply some benadryl cream. i can already feel it swelling. you know the weird swelling that feels like you have a pulse when you really don't?" he just shakes his head and turns for home. however, when it comes to field searching for photos i suddenly turn into forrest gump, instead of running from mean kids throwing rocks at me i am frantically searching for the perfect spot with the best burnt weeds to use as a backdrop. i'll work up a sweat and get eighteen chin mosquito bites without even thinking twice. all in the name of field searching.

this is probably going to come as a shock but, standing and having my photo taken is not my favorite thing in the world to do. i know, i know. "you have a blog, you are a total narcissist and enjoy looking at photos of yourself all day." well, part of that is true. i only spend like half of the day looking at my photos the other half is spent catching up on real housewives and eating angie's chocolate covered popcorn. 

when i have my photo taken i can get really awkward and bored. and i start to fidget with my hair, hat, and all of a sudden i'm bow legged and scratching my leg all at the same time. please see below for further reference.

something about this outfit reminds me of the witches on american horror story coven. truth is, i was named rhiannon after the fleetwood mac song rhiannon. which stevie nicks wrote based on a welsh mythology witch named rhiannon.

sometimes i wonder why i agree to the things rey suggests. that might sound slightly dramatic. i mean, he has yet to request i murder someone. which i suppose is a good thing. however, on this specific saturday he suggested i perch myself up on a tree limb in our front yard. "what? no. i am not that coordinated. there is no way i can get myself up on on that tree!" this included lots of dramatic hand gestures and facial expressions (see below).  he offered to boast me up. which resulted in 12 scratches on my legs and me yelling at him "ouch! my armpits are on fire! grab me by my arm!" "no! i can't get a good grasp that way!" 18 tries later i was awkwardly placed upon our tree branch. i'm sure our neighbors were amused peering through their windows.

sometimes i wear printed pants and refer to myself as "fancy pants" all day long. or "miss fancy pants". then landon rubs a banana with peanut butter, wipes his nose and "shows" me a crayon all on my pants at the same time.  i'm suddenly brought back to reality and realize i'm not such a fancy pants after all.

you will notice there are pumpkins and skeletons in the background of these photos. don't worry, these were taken prior to halloween. i always take my decor down in a timely manner. and by timely manner i mean, midnight of halloween i was already decorating for christmas.

i love plaid. but i hate heights. this wall doesn't look that high in these photos but rest assure it was. rey's all "oh just get up there, it's not even high. if you can step up there without any assistant from a ladder then it's not high." not really sure when he became the official measurer of heights. so of course i climbed up.  all nervous. "rey, my knees are shaking and i feel like when i'm at the mall on the upper level and i accidentally get too close to the ledge because some mall walker cuts me off  and i have no choice but to swerve right." yeah. you know exactly what i'm talking about.
