weekly snaps

this week we continued celebrating my birthday and photographed a wedding. acted like it was fall by lighting fall scented candles and devouring pumpkin flavored treats. we are now wrapping up the week with me contracting some sort of disease that feels like i'm swallowing knives with every breath i take. dramatic? no. not me. 

spider karma. it's a real thing.

i forgot i had these photos. they were taken on the day i like to refer as "the bite heard round the world". some may call it the day i got bit on the ankle by what i am still pretty sure was a spider. luckily, for you, more than a week later and my bite has healed and i'm still tickin. not so lucky for rey, he has now encountered two pregnant spiders at our front door. do you have any idea what a pregnant spider dying a bug spray death looks like? neither do i. i assure you he does and it gives him night terrors. maybe next time he won't think i'm so dramatic when i get bit. karma. it'll bitecha!

fall. it's coming.

let's talk about fall. i have been dreaming of fall since august 1. maybe, july 31. my memory is a little faded the older i get. i start hoarding fall candles and paper towels, buying fall treats and attempting to wear layers. which ends up failing by 10am when i'm sweating like the early stages of menopause. i usually just plow right through. ignore the sweat. crank the ac and act like it's 75° opposed to 95°.

i say dress. you say long tunic shirt thing.

i did it again. i bought another dress that i wasn't sure if it was a dress or long shirt. some might refer to it as a tunic. the tag referred to it as a dress. as long as i don't make a sudden movement, bend down to pick anything up, or walk. i'm fine. kidding. kinda.

do you ever find an item and love it so much you buy it in every color it comes in? i do. like this dress. i couldn't decide between this color or the mustard shade. i chose both. the only logical explanation. when in doubt. buy in bulk. unless it's those ginorm vats of pigs feet from sam's. never buy those.

this week we met landon's preschool teacher, started preschool, got a spider bite that i mildly obsessed over, had one too many chick-fil-a milkshakes and celebrated my birthday.
