it's friday. which only means one thing. i try to eat all healthy during the week then ruin it once friday rolls around. oh. and i'm going to see maroon 5 satty night. no  big deal.

Gettin' Springy With It!

with easter fast approaching i spent tuesday with my favorite toddler dying eggs and baking an easter bunny funfetti cake. which i will not show you the outcome because it terrifies me and reminds me of michael myers from halloween. let's just say i will not be winning any sort of cake decorating competitions anytime soon. but, it tasted good and landon loved it so i guess that's all that really matters? we wrapped up the afternoon with a little easter basket prep work and shoving our faces with cake. landon did that, not myself of course.

spring has sprung!

today marks the first official day of spring. which means it's raining here all day long. every time it rains i always say i will invest in a pair of rain boots. then the next day it's all sunshiny and i then think to myself "glad i didn't buy those boots, what a waste for one day." now i sit here reverting back to my original thought. "i really should of bought those rain boots."

every time i see this scarf hanging in my closet i think of "salute" which then makes me think of "salute your shorts". because that makes total sense. who remembers that show? am i dating myself here?  who didn't love donkey lips? or just saying the name donkey lips? either way, that show was pretty rad. if i hadn't previously dated myself, now i have by using "rad".

animal lover

one of my favorite things we do when in san antonio is to visit the natural bridge wildlife ranch. it's a super cute drive through safari. the animals approach your car window and you can feed them as you pass by. landon being the animal lover he is was in heaven! oohing and ahhing over every animal he saw. after the safari tour there is a petting zoo filled with baby goats and llamas. which kinda creeped me out because the llamas are eye level and would stare directly at you. check out their website here and stop by next time you are in the san antonio area!

all i wanted to do was pull over, take a few quick photos in this random field down some random dirt road. of course as soon as we hop out of the car and start snappin' away. some guy that lived across the street comes out of his house and starts sweeping his dirt drive way. i didn't even know that was a necessary thing to do when owning a dirt drive way. he looks up from his dirt sweeping and starts whistling like a total creep. at first i was irritated. then on second thought, i was all like, hey? at least someone was whistling.
