florida weather is so weird and annoying. this morning i had this sweater on. mid day i was holding it in my hand and ended the day with it wrapped around my waste like a 4 year old that was bundled too much by their over protective mother that morning and had to take it off to play hopscotch. hopscotch is still a thing, right? i'm not that old, at least i don't think i am.

because some days after eating a lot you have to go run in a field. even if that field is probably rattlesnake, fox and other animals i don't even know about ridden. ok. now it's back to "reading" the williams-sonoma holiday food guide. we all know christmas means filling your belly with chocolate-filled peppermint snaps while dunking them in salted caramel hot chocolate.

november is quickly coming to an end (seriously. where has the year gone?!). here at the lorenzo household we have been in full christmas swing for the past few weeks. it's my most favorite time of here!  here are a few bits from our thanksgiving.

i'm lovin' all of these kitschy animal prints that come out during the fall/winter. you can't help but smile when you have a rather large fox face splattered across your chest. except for that last picture. that is definitely not a smile. that's a "can these people just stop staring? is it really that weird to stand near a barn and have your photo taken? just carry on picking up your dog's poop, thanks."

i hope you all had a great thanksgiving and spent it with the ones that mean the most to you! ours was awesome. ate too much. shopped too much. did way too much and now need a vacation from my vacation. rey and i shot a wedding two weeks ago in downtown orlando.

what am i thankful for?

i'm thankful for these two.

one of the two made me a wife, the other a mother.

two of my most happiest of days.

life isn't always easy but having these two along for the ride makes it that much sweeter.

seriously. it's thanksgiving tomorrow. how did that even happen? i feel like landon's birthday was just last week. which by the way it wasn't, it was actually june 3. and when you really think about it june was a long time ago. so there goes my thought. seriously though, i feel like since having a child my days turn into months and months into years more quickly than i ever remember. i guess that's life when you hardly sleep and are fueled by starbucks and a handful of trail mix if you're lucky.

i've sat here for twenty minutes trying to name this post. i even looked at my dog for some inspiration. all she did was look up at me briefly then returned to chewing landon's toys. don't worry. i sanitize them after she chews them. ok. not really. i have actually never done that. but the thought has crossed my mind. then that thought is interrupted by landon bringing me an ornament from our tree, a spoon and an empty toilet paper roll.

i don't know why i look so angry in these photos. i really wasn't. i have one of those faces though. you know the kind. you have seen them a time or two. one of those faces that can't hide what they are thinking. one of those faces that doesn't mean to make a face that was visible to others when you saw that lady walk by with a t shirt and leggings as pants. or that man with those tight denim shorts and fanny pack. at least i think that was a man? the good thing is i have passed this trait down to landon. it's the gift that keeps on giving.

i had this shirt laid out on the bed last week. rey walks by and says, actually, he yells, because he always speaks at a rather high decibel. "what is that? it looks like some sort of demon. why are you going to wear that creep thing?" i reply "why? are you seriously asking me why? i mean, is it really that creepy? it's just a t-shirt with a cat with fangs and yellow eyes." he then left for work and i threw on a jacket to cover up the creepiness. you bet as soon as he came home my jacket was off. he will never know he got the best of me.

rey and i had some down time between yesterday's holiday sessions. instead of wasting that time we took it upon ourselves to take our own version of awkward family photos. i'm really hoping i get a call sometime this week saying our photo will be on their next christmas card. {fingers crossed}
