My Little Cupid

This past Sunday morning Rey and I woke up extra early, by early I mean Landon woke us up at his usual 6:00 a.m. So we decided to head to the park for a Valentine's Day "photo shoot" with Landon. "Props" in tow we headed to our local downtown area to let the photo madness begin. First, we get there and the ground is completely soaked, I guess that's what happens when it rains over night....? I carefully placed my blankets on the ground in hopes they wouldn't get ruined. Starting blowing up my balloons, and filling the candy mason jar with Hershey Kisses. After I was done blowing up all of said balloons the weather decided it would be a perfect time to project gale force winds upon us, that might be a slight exaggeration but that is neither here nor there. We quickly scrambled around trying to catch all of the flying balloons and corral them into one area. All the while Landon is rolling around on the blankets and throwing grass into the air.
Ok, now we are ready to shoot, everything is in it's place. Rey begins snapping some pictures (wooooshhhhh) wind comes again and blows the balloons away, Rey continues snapping while I run around frantically chasing them. (I'm sure I looked super cute and not awkward at all) At this point I decide it's a good time to bust out the bubble machine, I mean if the balloons are flying away then the bubbles will just float around like perfect little angles. Um, wrong. The bubbles decided they would go every other direction than the one I wanted them to go. Stupid bubble machine. Now I decide would be a good time to place some red kisses with my lipstick on Landon's face. He really enjoyed this by turning is head completely away from me and contorting his body in ways I wasn't sure were humanly possible. In the end here are the final results. For a bunch of amateurs I don't think they turned out too shabby!

1st Birthday!

Our good friends, Megan and Carlos had their daughter Lennon's First Birthday this past Sunday. It was a super cute birthday party that included a bounce house, popcorn machine, tons of delicious food, sweets and drinks. They really went all out for her first birthday which in return made me super excited for Landon's upcoming First Birthday...upcoming as in roughly 4 months away. This was also Landon's first time in a bounce house, he wasn't scared but he also just kinda sat there with a face like "Well, now what am I supposed to do?" It was a great party and how cute does Lennon look in her birthday tutu??

Landon Visits the Park

This past Saturday morning Rey and I took Landon on his first park adventure. It was a fantastic morning to be outdoors here in Orlando. He loved watching all of the other children play and run around all over the park and would squeal in delight whenever another kid ran past him. His favorite was definitely the swings and he was not scared to go high or fast, the kid is a dare devil for his age! We also were able to get in a few trips down the slide. We had so much fun on Saturday we started our Sunday the same way. It was a great way to spend the morning and I can't wait for future park trips! Here are a "few" pictures we captured.
